The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton met on October 9 at the Carroll County Administration Building to formalize a commemorative plaque dedication. The beautifully created cast aluminum plaque proudly reads, "This plaque honors and celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the United States of American and the 200th Anniversary of Carroll County, Georgia. May it be an enduring reminder of our heritage and the commitment to freedom, community service, and civic pride. The plaque was placed by the Kiwanis Club of Carrollton, Georgia, founded on October 23, 1947, and approaching its 80th anniversary. The celebration included local city and county officials and Kiwanis club dignitaries. A special thanks to Michelle Morgan, Chair of the Carroll County Board of Commissioners, for hosting the wonderful celebration.
