Joe Bradley, Stroke System Coordinator with Tanner Medical, spoke to the Carrollton Kiwanis Club on Friday, May 29, 2026 at the American Pie Pizzaria.  He introduced one success case, Robert Griffin, UWG Associate Professor of Literary Education, who now has no residual effects from the stroke he suffered earlier.
 
He reported on the success of Intravenous (IV) Thrombolysis (tPA);  The administration of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) through an IV. The medication travels through the bloodstream to break down and dissolve the clot
