Herald's Report  June 9, 2023

 

Guy Pope  -  Shane Davis, setting a good example for all of us, invited another prospective member, Captain Guy Pope of the Carroll County Sheriff's Department. Guy, married to Teresa, has served the county for 34 years.  When asked what it's been like to serve with Sheriff Langley for 34 years, I saw a tear of gratitude flowing down his left cheek.

 

 

 

Angie McDaniel -  Outstanding Kiwanian Paul McDaniel, brought precious wife Angie, who is also a Past President of our club and a great one at that.  Angie is a counselor at Temple High School.  They brought a wonderful photo of handsome son, Milo.  Paul said "I have a magnificent wife.  My body temperature goes up 20 degrees when I'm near her."  

 

 

 

 

Interclub -  We were graced with the presence of an interclub visit by two members of the White Oak Golden K of Newnan.  Mike Jumda, who describes himself as an "Old Sergeant Major who served for 33 years in the Army" and Frank Kona West, originally from Hawaii, who served in the Navy in Vietnam, rescuing downed pilots in the ocean.  Frank moved from Wisconsin to Newnan 5 years ago and became a Kiwanian.  Hopefully, they will return for a visit.  They are a delight to meet.
