The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton met on July 18, 2025, in the Pilot Room at the Stallings Community Center. Our club had the pleasure of hosting Bert Wesley Huffman, President and CEO of Georgia Public Broadcasting. The vision of GPB is to unite and uplift the state of Georgia. GPB's focus is on public media, with a strong emphasis on providing educational materials and entertainment programming across various platforms - from health and wellness to art, culture, literacy and learning. In addition, GPB manages the Georgia Emergency Management system and concentrates on serving children and other community and civic outreach programs. Following an informative presentation on today's triumphs and challenges posed to GPB, Mr. Huffman opened the room up for an engaging question and conversation session.
