The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton had the opportunity to host Will Berry, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Modernization for Southwire Company, during our August 16, 2024 meeting. Mr. Berry provided an informative program focusing on the commitment of Southwire in the areas of modernization. We learned that during an eight-year period, Southwire is committed to making an impressive two billion dollar investment in digital transformation, plant standardization initiatives, and process modernization - with an estimated $500 million to be invested in Southwire's home headquarters here in Carrollton. Southwire is one of the leading manufacturers of wire and cable used in the transmission and distribution of electricity around the world.
