Congratulations to Yujean Shin, Senior at Bremen High School, who (for the second year in a row) was awarded the fourth place scholarship in the Georgia District Music Showcase in Gainesville Georgia on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She won first place in the local Carrollton Music Showcase in February, and represented our club at the State level. She played Capriccio for Unaccompanied Clarinet in A by Heinrich Sutermeister.

No art submissions from Carrollton won scholarships in this year's District Show, however two pieces were awarded ribbons for honorable mention by grade level: The mixed media work by Natalie Proksell, Senior at Central Carrollton, (success gained from the material acquisition from Nancy Dixon), and the ceramic work by Itzel Trujillo, Senior at Villa Rica.
