New CPR studies -

The lastest research indicates that blood flow and rapid two inch compressions of the chest cavity are much more important than what had previously been taught.  The old ratios of mouth-to-mouth breathing and compressions are being discarded for newer techniques calling for more chest compressions and fewer breaths.  Research has indicated that blood flow to critical organs can be maintained through rapid compressions until emergency personnel arrive.

Ms. Grizzard demonstrated proper compression techniques and Dr. Arant discussed the history and latest medical research for heart health.
