Information

If you would like a guided tour of the Chickamauga Battlefield, site of the Civil War's second bloodiest battle, please join your fellow Kiwanians, and guide and author Robert Carter on Saturday, September 22, for a full day visit to this beautiful National Battlefield Park. We will carpool to Chickamauga (about a two-hour drive), visit the Visitor Center and Museum, then travel around the Battlefield by car, stopping at important sites in the Battlefield. After lunch we will take a walking tour of Snodgrass Hill, scene of some of the most desperate fighting of the Civil War, and the subject of Robert's book "The Fight for Snodgrass Hill and the Rock of Chickamauga." The walking tour is a pleasant walk of about two miles. The tour is free.
