On Friday, March 2, 2012,  Kiwanis Dr. Seuss Reading Chairman Jeremy Sabo presented a copy of the book "Six by Seuss" to Ann DeVillier, daughter of Dr. Lincoln DeVillier.   Carrollton Kiwanians blitzed Carroll County on Friday morning reading to select students in every elementary school.  Participating students were presented a copy of the book with the acknowledgement plate stating that this year's read was done in memory of Dr. Lincoln DeVillier.
 
Dr. Lincoln DeVillier was a WWII D-Day survivor, and long standing member in the Carrollton Kiwanis Club, and was retired as professor from the Univeristy of West Georgia.  He passed away on November 18, 2011 after an extended illness.  

The Carrollton Kiwanis Club reads to elementary students every year in commemoration of the birthday of Theodore Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.  This year's read was done in memory of Dr. Lincoln Devillier.
