Thanks for All for your cooperation in making the Governor's Rally a success for the host club and your [not always] humble Lt. Governor.  ( - :

Thanks to Jenny Ingram and Jeremy Sabo for serving at the registration table.  The Carrollton Kiwanis Club has perfected the R.S.V.P. process, however I was nervous that the surprise non-registered attendees would exceed the no-shows from the other clubs.    Thanks to Margaret Miller, JeNeen Walden, and (guest) Becky Ellington for singing the patriotic songs.  When I attended the first Lt. Governor's meeting last Summer, it was a pleasant surprise to find our former club member Mark Woelzlein (pronounced "Wells-Line" ) was now a Lieutenant Governor from Augusta.  Being retired veterans, it was very appropriate for Mark to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance and Margaret to sing with JeNeen and Becky "America the Beautiful" , and "God Bless America."  I was moved by the prayer offered by Mrs. Grace Miller, Secretary of the Carrollton Golden K Kiwanis Club, and perhaps the oldest Kiwanian in the room.

Congratulations to Clint Backstrom, who was nominated by his club sponsors Jim Collins and Jack Whitman to receive the much deserved Governor's Leadership Medallion.
