The Kiwanis Club of Carrollton met on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the University of West Georgia in the Hubbard Dining Room. Our club had the pleasure to meet Connor Pierce, trail name "Bolt," to learn about his Appalachian Trail hiking experience. "Bolt" embarked on a monumental hike in 2018 - walking an extensive 2,190.9 miles in 135 days throughout 14 U.S. states. Bolt experienced all kinds of weather conditions and beautiful scenes of nature throughout his hike. He described the highlight of his journey as the human connections realized through walking with other hikers along the pathway.
