Herald's Report September 01 2023

 

 

 

UWG CKI  -  We were visited by three outstanding UWG Circle K students: (photo, LtoR:) Victoria Beil, Justice Bell, and Kennedee Williams. Justice Bell is a junior Psychology and Criminology major and also an active member of the Black Student Alliance. Kennedee Williams is a senior majoring in Studio Art with a Marketing minor. She is also a two-time state-champion runner, breaking records in the 4x4, 1600, 800 and 5K run in high school. Victoria Biel is Circle K President. She is majoring in Public Administration with plans to work for a non-profit. Victoria has been active in Kiwanis Clubs since the 8th grade and was the recipient of the Kiwanis scholarship which made it possible for her to go to college.

 

 

 

 

(Photo:  L to R) Eddie Spain and L.J. Davis  -  Joe Tarshis invited two prospective members: Eddie Spain and L.J. Davis. Eddie Spain is a retired Manager of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and a former Marine Corp Sergeant. L. J. Davis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist in in his 15th year of practice and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. He also served for two years with the Peace Corps in Ghana. He and wife, Annie have twelve year old son, Raine.

 

 

 

 

Tracy McDaniel  -  Derrick Newton invited prospective member and former Kiwanian Board member of our club, Tracy McDaniel. He is a Financial Advisor with Edward E.Jones, and a UWG graduate who was a great player on the UWG Braves football team.  Come on back to us, Big Mac!

 

 

 

 

Jeff Hughes  -  Mark Herring brought Jeff Hughes, who works with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  We always enjoy his visiting our club!
