Head Start

Ms. Dunson thanked the Kiwanis Club for sending reading volunteers to the Head Start Program.  She issued the challenge that more volunteers are need to help the children at risk.  Past President Derick Newton serves on the board of the local Head Start and reiterated the need for male volunteers to assist with the Head Start Program, where many children unfortunately lack positive male role models.  V.P. Mike Dugan challenged the men in attendance to dedicate time and energy to assist the children.
