Elections - Becky Deese

Becky Deese presented a program to the Carrollton Kiwanis Club on January 11 on Elections in Carroll County.  Mike Dugan presided over the Kiwanis meeting, and serves as President of the Kiwanis Club for 2012-2013.  Dugan had just won on Tuesday January 8 the runoff election for State Senator for District 30 replacing Bill Hamrick and was sworn in to as Senator by Judge Hamrick on Monday January 14.   Deese reported low voter turnout in four of the past six elections held in the County, the advantage of early voting, and possible strategies for lowering costs of elections in Carroll County.
