V.P. Mike Dugan welcomes County Extension Agent Michelle Lewis to the Carrollton Kiwanis Club.  She gave a talk entitled "Extension Office:  what do we do? ".
 

The Carroll County Extension Office is an "extension" of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.   The offices are held at the "Ag Center" at 900 Newnan Road.  The office assists with many aspects of agriculture in Carroll County, and lately has become involved in wine grape production.   The Extension office offers a variety of services, from soil and water testing to consumer sciences and perhaps is better know for sponsoring the 4-H program.

Michelle Lewis is originally from New Haven, Connecticutt.  After settling in Carrollton, she obtained certification in child care at West Central Technical College.  She and her husband have four children.Â
