Good afternoon everyone,

I’m writing to update you on our Inaugural Kiwanis YP Service Project with the Community Foundation of West GA.  Although we have participated in many Service Projects before, this is the first one we will complete all on our own.

We’ll gather at the Community Foundation office at 9:30 and put together “care packages” for women/children to use at the Women’s Shelter.  The project should end around 12:30 to 1:00.  We’re also working on a 2nd “phase” of the project as we had one fall through as of today.  We’ll pass along any new details as we get them.

Women’s Shelter Project:

·         We have to provide the items for the care packages as well as the package containers (bags or boxes).

·         The Club will purchase some supplies for this project, but if you’d like to provide add’l supplies, we need:

·         Shampoo

·         Soap

·         Lotion

·         Toothpaste/brushes

·         Children’s toiletries

·         Etc.

·         Please bring these items with you to the Community Foundation office on Saturday, the 28th.  If you can’t attend, but would like to provide supplies, contact Amy Velasquez, Jay Willis, or me to let us know what you are providing and we’ll arrange a time to get them.

Please let us know if you plan to participate.  We need a firm head count so that the Community Foundation knows how many people to expect.

Thank you so much for your help!
