Dr. Brendan Kelly
Dr. Brendan Kelly, the eighth President of the University of West Georgia, provided the program for the Carrollton Kiwanis Club on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Carrollton's Courtyard Marriott.  Prior to joining UWG,  Dr. Kelly served as Chancellor of the University of South Carolina Upstate, and was appointed in April 2019 as Interim President for the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Tressa Kelly -   The First Lady of UWG accompanied her husband  and enjoyed lunch and program with the Kiwanis Club.
Jami Bower  -   Art Bower brought his wife Jami; Associate V.P. of Constituent Relations and Engagement at UWG.  Originally from Heflin Alabama, Jami attended the University of Alabama.  She has been at UWG for ten years.
Sarah Powell  -  UWG President brought staff members to his Kiwanis Club program.   Sarah is the Digital Content Strategist at UWG,  and
Colton Campbell  -  Colton is the Director of Strategic Communication  for UWG .
Corey Speights  -  Trent Ross brought guest Corey Speights.  Corey is the Assistant Director of Live Event Production at UWG.   Corey and his wife have lived in Carrollton for sixteen months and have two children.

David Lambert  -  Melanie Lambert enjoyed lunch with her husband David.  The couple dodged the anxious photographer this time.  Sorry.

Allyson Tarpley - The SPARK Program
She's back !   Allyson Tarpley will present at our next Zoom meeting.   She is moving the topic from the Top (head - psychology) to the Bottom. (diapers ?)
Allyson Tarpley coordinated an update of the SPARK program for the Carrollton Kiwanis Club on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Courtyard Marriott.
Allyson is a psychology major at UWG and assists with the SPARK program.  She invited the creator of the program, Dr Tom Peterson, to assist with the presentation.

Thanks for getting this in the hands of your best music students.  The Carrollton Kiwanis Club is currently accepting applications for participants to compete for scholarships in the juried music competition to be held at the Carrollton Center for the Arts on February 14, 2021.  Thanks to sponsors,  a total of three thousand dollars in scholarships will be awarded to art and music students.  Winners will be eligible and must agree to be available to advance to the State competition  in Gainesville, Georgia on April 24, where a total of $ 15,000 in scholarships will be awarded by the Georgia  District Kiwanis Foundation.
