Herald's Report January 24  2020

Let the visitor beware -
for Dr. Fred Richards
Introduces guests

with a FLARE !!!

(January 24, 2020)

John Hinman brought Lisa Edison, Director of Business Development with Vision Realty and Management.  A success in the business world, Lisa is also committed to working with youth.  She volunteers at UWG and the county and city schools for TOTS (Teams of Tomorrow), working with K through 5th grade children who perform half-time shows at basketball games.  Sounds like, John, she'd be at home in our Kiwanis Club.

Bill Fordham, long time weekly columnist with the TIMES-GEORGIAN, joined us for an interclub visit.  Bill is Secretary of the new Bowdon Kiwanis Club sponsored by our club and the Golden K.

We also welcomed Prissy Sullivan from the STAR NEWS.  She's a journalist working with publisher, Sue Horn, who is a much-appreciated member of our club.

Ernest McClendon invited son, Jeff.  Jeff, a retired Waldorf teacher, is a professional singer currently serving the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado.  He also is the Golf Coach for boys and girls at Denver South High School.  He's passionate, too, about gold-prospecting and relic hunting.

Dr. Emily Staples returned to the club despite my initial introduction!  A prospective member filling out her membership application, Emily is sponsored by Joey Key.  Emily is a graduate of Life University and owner of Rooted Chiropractic.  If you like homemade jams and jellies and jar vegetables, or you need your aging body back to functioning better, Emily, soon to be a Kiwanian, is the person to see.
