Johnny Tanner invited Marty Smith, a local baritone singer better known as the Chairman of the Carroll County Board of Commissioners.  Marty is a prospective member so I encourage everyone to email or phone him to remind him he might want to be a member of our Club.
Mary Jane Davis, President of Friends of the Library, joined us for lunch and received a check from the Club to support her work with the library.
W.H. Smith brought friends and prospective members Wanda and Grant McGukin.  They are both retired and celebrating, after 43 years of marriage, their meeting at Southwire.
Chapman Rackaway introduced prospective member Bob Schaefer.  Bob is a popular professor of Political Science at UWg and also serves as the University Ombudsman.  Bob is also active in the Catholic Church and the Central School System.
Jay Willis invited two young professionals and prospective members, Jeffrey Jenkins and Ben Johnson.  Jeffrey is an insurance agent working with Jay at Carroll Realty and Insurance.  Married to wife Casey and father of a son and soon to have a daughter, Jeffrey is also an avid golfer.  Ben Johnson, proud to be an Auburn graduate, is Vice-President of IT at SMI.
