Reading for Dr. Seuss
Dr. Seuss' Birthday - Read on Tuesday, March 2.
 
Theodor Seuss Geisel's birthday is March 2, 1904.   The Carrollton Kiwanis Club will visit elementary schools and present books to selected children.   We are adjusting "the read" this year for social distancing and Covid-19.  Many members of the Kiwanis Club will be delivering books to the schools, but not reading in small groups, as has been the custom.  Volunteers should pick up books from Sit'n Sleep in Carrollton.  Contact Paul McDaniel if you have any questions.

LaToya Gamble - Heaven in Your Home Catering
Latoya Gamble spoke to the Carrollton Kiwanis Club in the online Zoom meeting on February 26, 2021.   As the owner of Heaven in Your Home Catering, and having had the unfortunate first-hand experience of being homeless in the past, She has an inspiration for feeding and assisting the homeless in Carrollton.  She requests that the Kiwanis Club help in that endeavior.

Board Meeting:  Officers and Directors

The Board Meeting :
The Officers, Directors, and Chairs  of the Carrollton Kiwanis Club will meet (First) Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Tracy Stallings Community Center.
Enter the building through the front door.
 
New members should attend to fulfill one of the steps to earn the permanent badge.

Division 12 Governor's Rally - March 5

The Georgia Kiwanis Governor's Rally for Division 12 will be in held "in-person" at noon (March 5, 2021) at the Courtyard Marriott.  Check the bottom of this newsletter to confirm that you have a meal reserved.   The meeting will also be carried via live ZOOM for those not attending in-person.
 
The Rally will serve as our regular club meeting.
