Fourth of July Symphony Concert

What a wonderful 4th of July we experienced in Carrollton this past week!!! Many Kiwanians were seen either participating in the parade or viewing it from the sidelines with most of Carroll County. Then during the afternoon and evening, we had 20 plus Carrollton Kiwanians pitch in to sell concessions....soft drinks, water, and snow cones....the cones went over big...just ask Richard (4 fingers) Dixon....while the Carrollton Symphony Orcherstra entertained the masses on a very comfortable summer night. To complete the evening, Kiwanians enjoyed a really close up seat to the bright, powerful fireworks that thousands had come to witness.

On our first attempt to sell concessions during the annual evening of music and fireworks, we may not have "broken the bank" with our revenue, but the Kiwanians who volunteered their time enjoyed the effort and had a great time of fellowship while sharing our love of country and freedom with one another. Many thanks to the following for their time...Andy Leavitt, Richard Dixon, Neil Weathington, Mike Renfrow, Derick Newton, MaryAnn Myers, Bill Dees, Bill Erickson, Susan Duncan, Cecil Davis, Fred & Ann Richards, Rick Sears, Walter Todd, Michelle Kuhlman, Bob Claxton, Kathleen Wagstaff, Suzanne Durham, Melanie Smallwood, Stuart & Camille Yahm, Melaine Lambert, Randy Miller, and also to Seth Lester for providing Gatorade for our workers.
