Director of the Boys & Girls Club, Aukejshia Boyce-Gaskins, invited Linda Robles to initiate the K-Kids after-school program after a successful summer of SLPs that targeted "Character & Leadership."  K-Kids members elected officers in October; with an installation ceremony tba. The K-Kids also completed their first service project by creating beautifully hand-crafted greeting cards for Carrollton Manor Nursing Home residents. UWG Student, Ms. Canaan Gilcrest, serves weekly as K-Kids Assistant to the CBGCMA.
 
   
 
Most recently, Deputy Ashley Husley shared spent time at the BGCMA speaking to the K-Kids about making good decisions, the benefits, as well as the consequences of not making good choices.
 
 
Opportunities can be taken advantage of each Monday 5:30-6:30p.m. (Security Clearances must be on file with the BGCMA)
 
Sue Nolen, Susie Hobbs, and Michelle Alexander--OMA K-Kids Leaders helped kick off Oak Mountain's K-Kids Program at November's meeting by electing officers and completing their service projects of creating hand-crafted Christmas Cards for Pine Knoll Nursing Home. Delisa Gledhill and Elementary School Head Master & Fellow Kiwanian, Paula Gillspie are both supporters of the K-Kids SLP.
 
 
Opportunities exist on the 2nd Thursday of each month  after school from 3:30-4:430. (Security Clearances must be on file with the Oak Mtn. Academy)
 
Service arrangements should be scheduled through Linda Robles (Boys & Girls Club) & Paula Gillispie for the (OMA) SLP.
