Albert Shinn, ninth grade violinist from Bremen High School, won first place in the Music Showcase with performance of Csárdás by Vittorio Moni.  Albert was accompanied on piano by his younger brother Justin Shinn.  He was awarded the $ 500 scholarship and will represent the Carrollton Kiwanis Club in the District Finals held in Albany Georgia on April 25.

Second Place in the music was awarded to (our very own) soprano vocalist Blair Lipham.  Blair sang "La Vezzos Pastorella" by Bruni.  She was accompanied by Mrs. Brenda Sue Holcombe.  Blair is a ninth grader at Carrollton High School.  She was awarded a scholarship of four hundred dollars.
 
Third Place in music was awarded to Becky Fowler for piano performance.  Becky is home-educated and is in the twelfth grade.  She played "Prelude, Op. 3, No. 2" by Rachmaninov.  
 
Fourth Place in music was awarded to pianist Elijah Green.    He played an original composition "Impromtu Improvisation".  Elijah is a ninth grader at Central High, and the son of Jennifer Green, music teacher at Central.  Elijah was awarded a scholarship of two hundred dollars.
 
Fifth Place in music was awarded to tenor Dayton Peek.  Dayton is a twelfth grader at Central High School.  He sang "Du bist die Ruh" by Schubert and was accompanied on piano by Mr. Carl Heidlauf.  Dayton was awarded a scholarship of one hundred dollars.
